Dear Committee Members,
Join us for a Sneak Peak of the EWR AirTrain Replacement project, presented by Russell Kriegel, Chief Architect of the The Port Authority of NY & NJ (PANYNJ), Patrick McAffrey, Architect from Dattner Architects, and Tom Grassi, Architect from HNTB.
This $1.184 billion design-build stations & guideway component of the project marks a significant milestone in the ongoing redevelopment of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). This project is a critical component of the Port Authority’s recently announced vision plan for a reimagined and modern EWR Newark Airport, aimed at accommodating increasing demand, evolving changes in the air travel industry, and enhancing the overall passenger experience in-line with the standards set by the new award-winning Terminal A.
Transportation and Infrastructure
The AIANY Transportation and Infrastructure Committee focuses on planning, architectural design, technical, and policy issues related to transportation and infrastructure, including systems and civic facilities to accommodate marine, aviation, and land-based transit, as well as energy, water and waste distribution networks. It is the mission of the committee to examine the architecture of, and to advocate for design quality in, transportation and infrastructure projects. We invite all committee members, and those interested in joining the committee, to join us at our monthly meetings on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6pm on Zoom unless noted. We are always looking for enthusiastic participants interested in contributing to the programs or assisting in other ways!
