12.07.15: Winners of the 2015 AIANY COTE Awards presented a range of innovative and sustainable architecture designs, elected for their achievement in confronting critical issues facing our communities brought on by climate change. Representatives from the three winning firms and four honorable mentions presented their designs: Platt Byard Dovell White Architects, Paul Castrucci Architect, FETE Nature Archtiecture, Fernando Villa, Magnusson Architecture & Planning, Caples Jefferson, FXFOWLE, Grimshaw Architects and Dattner Architect.
12.07.15: In honor of its 10th anniversary and the launch of the New Practices New York 2016 competition, the AIANY New Practices Committee brought together five generations of previous winners at the recently-opened Cosentino City showroom. 12.06.15: The Eternal Space, an off-Broadway retelling of Penn Station’s 1963 demolition, just finished a highly acclaimed run at The Lion’s Theatre. In 2013, the production company held a 50th anniversary reading and panel at the Center for Architecture.
12.01.15: On the occasion of the exhibition, “Designing Affordability: Quicker, Smarter, More Efficient Housing Now,” the Center for Architecture and the Institute for Public Architecture convened a panel to formulate a broad vision of affordability and healthy neighborhoods.
