Leadership and Firm Transitions
Richard Meier, Founding Partner at Richard Meier & Partners Architects, will be officially retiring from the firm. Now called Meier Partners, the practice will be led by COO George H. Miller, FAIA, former Managing Partner at Pei, Cobb, Freed & Partners, and Lead Designer Dukho Yeon, AIA.
New Hires and Promotions
Colin Montoute, AIA, LEED AP, NOMA, has joined WXY architecture + urban design as the new Director of Architecture. The firm has also promoted Christopher Rice to Director of Planning and David Vega-Barachowitz to Director of Urban Design.
MNLA has promoted Michele Richmond, PLA, ASLA, SITES AP, WEDG, to Senior Landscape Associate; Stacie Ellickson, RLA, ASLA, WEDG, to Associate; and Ken Gordon to Director of Accounting.
Stephanie Oestreich, Nelya Sachakova, and Milan Savanovic have been promoted to the role of Associate at RKTB Architects.

The Museum of Modern Art has appointed Carson Chan as the first Director of the Emilio Ambasz Institute for the Joint Study of the Built and the Natural Environment.

The Architect’s Newspaper has announced that Aaron Seward, formerly of Texas Architect, has been named the publication’s new Editor-in-Chief, following in the steps of the late William Menking.
Paul Makovsky, formerly Editor-in-Chief of Contract magazine, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of ARCHITECT magazine following the departure of Katie Gerfen.
