New Hires and Promotions

Benjamin Aranda has been appointed Acting Dean of The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union.

Morris Adjmi Architects (MA) has announced the promotion of Becca Roderick to Executive Director, Interiors.

Rockwell Group has announced three new Firm Partners: Brad Zuger, AIA, Eva Longoria, and Francesco Bartolozzi.

Adelaida Baez-Urena has joined RKTB Architects as Project Manager, bringing a decade of professional experience managing projects and implementing energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions, with a focus on affordable housing and community-driven developments.

FXCollaborative has announced its new Chief Operating Officer, Shannon Rodriguez, who has been with the firm for over 20 years, most recently serving as Director of Human Resources and Office Services.

Andrew Holder has been named chair of Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design at Pratt Institute, starting July 1, 2025. He most recently served as Associate Professor and MArch Director at Harvard GSD.

 

Honors and Awards

The National Building Museum has bestowed the 2025 Honor Award to Gensler, the global architecture and design firm celebrating 60 years.

The Department of Design and Construction‘s Chief Strategy Officer Becky Yurek has received the AIA New York State Excelsior Award for Public Awareness of Architecture, which “recognizes those who have fostered greater public awareness of exceptional public architecture.”

Grace Lawal, a project manager at RKTB Architects, has been named a recipient of AIA New York’s 2030 Fund, which provides student loan debt relief and licensure support for aspiring BIPOC architects pursuing licensure.

FXCollaborative has joined forces with Lemay, an international design practice headquartered in Canada, to better meet the growing global demand for creative, integrated design solutions.

Hans Noë, architect, sculptor, and proprietor of Fanelli Cafe, passed away on May 11, 2025.

Paul Marantz, co-founder of Fisher Marantz Stone, passed away on May 26, 2025.
