Pei Partnership Architects has changed its name; the firm, which has also launched a new identity, is now PEI Architects.
Eli Y. Meltzer, AIA, has joined Meltzer/Mandl Architects, serving alongside his father Marvin H. Meltzer, AIA, who founded the firm with the late David Mandl.

Academia and Institutional Appointments
Susan Chin, FAIA, Hon. ASLA, will step down as Executive Director of the Design Trust for Public Space at the end of 2019 to pursue her own consultancy on urban challenges in this increasingly complex world. The Design Trust has appointed a Search Committee, chaired by Board Vice Chair Eve Klein. The search firm Harris Rand Lusk will commence a search for Chin’s successor.
Hilary Sample, AIA, of MOS Architects has been appointed the inaugural IDC Foundation Professor of Housing Design at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
Center for Architecture president Barry Bergdoll, Hon. AIANY, and Deborah Berke, FAIA, have joined the jury of the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
