“New Practices New York 2014” is on view at the Center for Architecture through 01.17.15

Happy New Year! We are thrilled to welcome 2015 and “Dialogues from the Edge of Practice,” the presidential theme of 2015 AIANY President Tomas Rossant, AIA. We hope you will join us in making this year as successful as the last!

As the new year begins, our exhibition “New Practices New York 2014” comes to a close. If you haven’t had a chance to see the works of these six promising, young NYC firms, make sure you stop by the Center for Architecture before 01.17.15. Projects range from the wacky (wax piñatas and fuzzy tentacles) to the civically-minded (water-absorbing sponge parks).

Finally, don’t forget to submit your work to the AIANY 2015 Design Awards! Our annual awards program recognizes architectural design by AIANY members, NYC-based architects in any location, and work in NYC by architects from around the world. Enter your projects by the 02.06.15 deadline.

I hope you had a lovely and restful holiday season.
