08.31.15: Cynthia Kracauer, AIA, Center for Architecture, Managing Director, snapped a picture of celebratory staff members James Fallarino, Events Manager, and Camila Schaulsohn, Communications Director, at the Archtober kick-off, Tweet-for-Treat. 08.31.15: Kicking-off Archtober season, #TweetforTreat drew a large crowd on a scorching summer day down at the South Street Seaport. The first one hundred participants to tweet @Archtober received free architecturally-inspired Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches, and everyone could peer into our soon-to-open gallery space, Archtober Hall, on 181 Front Street.Credit: Center for Architecture

08.31.15: All aboard 09.10.15 at the Seaport! The Center for Architecture has been finishing renovations at our brand-new, temporary location on 181 Front Street, as part of the Seaport Culture District. Exploring the history and architecture of New York City’s waterfront through contemporary photographs, the gallery’s debut exhibition will be “Sea Level: Five Boroughs at Water’s Edge.” Credit: Center for Architecture
08.10.15: New York’s leading architects, and real estate and construction professionals came out to support the AIA New York/Center for Architecture at the Annual Golf Classic, sponsored by IBEX Construction. Held at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY, the outing and dinner was attended by 140 people. 07.09-08.15.15: The Architectural Impulse, presented by Cristin Tierney Gallery, showcased a group exhibition of artists whose works draw from the materials, processes, and theoretical concerns of the architectural discipline. Curated by architect Warren James, the exhibition featured Aziz + Cucher, Filip Dujardin, Elise Ferguson, Richard Galpin, Carmen Herrera, Barbara Kasten, Alois Kronschlaeger, Jennifer Marman + Daniel Borins, Jean Shin, Jorge Tacla, and Francisco Ugarte.
