New Hires and Promotions

Dattner Architects has announced the promotion of four professionals to Associate Principal: Earl Jones, Assoc. AIA, Harriet Andronikides, AIA, Jen Switala, AIA, and Mia Lee, AIA.

Mitchell Giurgola has announced the promotions of Bryan Bogaards, AIA, and Colin Embrey to Associate.

Ida Galea, AIA, NCARB, has announced her new position as President of the Architects Council of New York.

Studio Gang‘s Design Principal Arthur Liu, AIA, NCARB, has assumed leadership of its New York office after more than a decade with the Studio.

Perkins Eastman has appointed three new leaders to the firm’s Executive Committee. Heather Jauregui, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Sean O’Donnell, FAIA, LEED AP, and Emily Pierson-Brown, AIA, NOMA, join the team, tasked with providing firmwide strategic oversight.

Huntsman Architectural Group has announced the promotion of two individuals to Principal (Iris Chan AIA, LEED AP and Karie Vagedes RID, IIDA, NCIDQ) and the elevation of an existing Principal to the firm’s Board of Directors: Nicole Everett NCIDQ, CID, LEED AP IDC.

At MNLA, four of the firm’s longtime leaders—Alexis Gagné, LLA, ASLA, Dan Yannaccone, LLA, ASLA, WEDG, Johanna Phelps, RLA, ASLA, WEDG, and Martha Desbiens, ASLA—have been elevated to Principal.

 

Departures and Transitions

FXCollaborative has announced the retirement of Chief Operations Officer Heidi Blau, FAIA, closing 23 years of leadership at the practice.

Weston Walker, who established Studio Gang’s New York office in 2013 and grew it to a team of nearly 40 architects, has relocated to the West Coast, where he’ll lead the San Francisco office.

Beyer Blinder Belle has announced the passing of Founding Partner John H. Beyer, FAIA, AICP. For more than five decades, his work contributed to a paradigm shift that put planning, preservation, and design responsive to context at the center of architectural practice.
