09.24-26.09: The MAINSTREETS Convention took place in the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Riverside Convention Center, Rochester, NY. Hosted by AIA New York State, AIA Rochester, AGC of New York State, ACEC New York, NYS Society of Professional Engineers, NYS Association of Professional Land Surveyors, and the American Society of Landscape Architects-New York Chapters, the event was the first-ever joint convention for the organizations.

09.23.09: More than 1,500 people attended the unveiling of the redevelopment plans for the former Bell Labs building in Holmdel, New Jersey, designed by Eero Saarinen. It will become the centerpiece of a mixed-use town center.
