Do you know an AIA architect who has made significant and measurable achievements in design, preservation, education, literature, or service?

Election to fellowship recognizes those achievements and also honors before the public and the profession the architect who has made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Please make a recommendation about who the AIA New York should nominate to fellowship from our chapter for the 2016/2017 cycle.

In order to be considered for fellowship, an architect must have been a member in good standing of the AIA for at least ten years. Candidates may be recommended to the local committee by any other member of AIA or can self-refer. A recommendation note sent by a colleague should include the candidate’s name and contact information (firm, telephone number, and email address) and be sent attn: Suzanne Mecs, Fellows Committee, via email to smecs@aiany.org or to Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, New York, NY 10012.

The deadline for nominations is 02.17.17.

For those who wish to know more about the process, please join us for “What Does it Take to Become FAIA?” on 02.09.17.
