Synopsis:
Duzan Doepel, principal of Doepel Strijkers Architects (DSA), addresses the challenges of sustainable urban and architectural development in Holland. He believes that renewable cities and regions should be able to generate more energy than they consume and be self sufficient in food production. He illustrates how contemporary Dutch designers are thinking about these issues using examples from DSA, West 8, deUrbanisten, VenhoevenCS, and MVRDV.
