AIANY Program Committees are the foundations from which the chapter positions itself in the field of architecture, whether through discussion, advocacy, policy making and development, or other endeavors. Committees initiate the majority of the chapter’s programs and are the main avenue for direct involvement with AIA New York. Preferred co-chair candidates will have shown strong involvement with the committee, a commitment to the committee’s goals, a clear vision for the future of the committee, and good communication and management skills. Co-chairs must be or become members of AIA New York.
The AIANY Building Science Committee aims to create a multi-disciplinary sharing and learning platform for the building industry, academia, and the public to advance the understanding of the physical behavior of the building as a system. This committee serves as a community to promote the application of building science to achieve high-performance and resilient design and construction that responds to the current and future needs of a sustainable and healthy built environment. Applications must include a 250-word maximum letter of interest and CV sent to [email protected] with the subject line, “Building Science Committee Co-Chair Application.”
