Do you know an AIA architect who has made significant and measurable achievements in design, preservation, education, literature, or service?

Election to fellowship recognizes architects who have made contributions to architecture and society on a national level. Please make a recommendation about who AIA New York should nominate to fellowship from our chapter for the 2020/2021 cycle. Recommendations are due by 5 pm on February 14, 2020.

In order to be considered for fellowship, architects must be AIA members in good standing for at least ten years. Candidates may be recommended to the local committee by any other member of AIA or can self-refer. A recommendation note should include the candidate’s contact information (name, firm name, telephone number, and email address) and a paragraph describing their area of expertise and potential Object of Nomination.

Information should be sent to the attention of Suzanne Mecs, Fellows Committee, at AIA New York, 536 LaGuardia Place, New York, NY 10012, or via email to smecs@aiany.org by February 14, 2020. Guidelines and procedures for applying to the College of Fellows are outlined on the National Site here. Questions specific to AIA New York’s policies and procedures can be directed to Suzanne Mecs.
