The AIANY Architecture for Education and Marketing & Communications Committees are seeking applications for new co-chairs with the planned departure of the current co-chairs in the Fall.
The AIANY Architecture for Education Committee holds engaging meetings and programs on the design and construction of education facilities. The committee has recently focused its attention on alternative design inspirations from Scandinavia, new perspectives through big data, and providing design considerations when building facilities for homeless children or students with autism.
The AIANY Marketing & Communications Committee holds monthly meetings and events on innovations and strategies to improve the marketing abilities for firms of all sizes. Recent meetings and events have included strategies to incorporate video in marketing campaigns, a summer series on digital and print marketing, and a Dining and Dialogue series that brings individuals to exciting new restaurants in the City for members to experience marketing and interior design synergies firsthand.
Interested AIA members can apply by sending a copy of their CV and a 250-word cover letter outlining their interest in the committee, why they feel suited to lead it, and in what direction they hope to take it, to Joseph Corbin at jcorbin@aiany.org. For the Marketing and Communications Committee, assigned AIANY members (Architect, Associate, International Associate, Fellow) are preferred. Please specify which committee you are applying to in the subject line. The deadline for applying is Wednesday, October 16.
