12.03.13: NYC Department of Design + Construction (DDC) Commissioner David Burney, FAIA (far right), delivered a presentation to a delegation from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China on the structure of the building process at the DDC.
12.03.13: After receiving a tour of “Practical Utopias” from AIANY 2013 President Jill N. Lerner, FAIA, and Michael Sorkin, director of Graduate Urban Design at CUNY, prior to the opening of “People Building Better Cities.”
12.03.13: “People Building Better Cities: Participation and Inclusive Urbanization,” a collaboration between Global Studio and the Center for Sustainable Urban Development at Columbia University, opened at the Center for Architecture after traveling to Bangkok, Beijing, Chennai, Cincinnati, Delhi, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Nairobi, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, and Sydney.
