AIA New York strongly urges its members to exercise their right to vote and partake in the upcoming election, and ask that members in management positions encourage their staff to safely vote and campaign. This can entail closing an office for all or part of the day or providing employees with additional paid time off.
Critical voting deadlines are fast approaching, so here’s some important information to help you vote safely:
- Register to vote until October 26—in person, online, or by mail.
- Early voting in New York begins this Saturday, October 26, and runs through Sunday, November 3 (see below for early voting hours).
- Election Day is November 5, and polling locations are open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Find your polling location here.
Voting cohesively amplifies our voice on major issues including affordable housing, sustainability, and transportation.
