Thank you to all our members who participated in the now-passed June 2021 Democratic primary. As voters, donors, and volunteers, you have helped significantly increase the presence and importance of design in our civic dialogue. We hope you will continue your engagement with our new elected officials over the coming years. Below are candidates who were Highly Rated by AIANY and won their races:

We would also like to congratulate our Highly Rated candidates who did not win their races, but who we were nonetheless proud to support. Most notable among these is Kathryn Garcia, who came within a few thousand votes of winning the mayoral contest, but appears to have fallen short to Eric Adams. We congratulate Garcia on having run a great campaign, and look forward to working with the incoming Adams Administration.
