Are you a design professional looking to make an impact nationwide? This is your chance to get involved with volunteer opportunities at the American Institute of Architects (AIA)!

From representing AIA at industry alliances or state-based groups to participating in award jury services, there are plenty of ways to contribute your voice. Volunteering is a tangible way to support and shape the future of the architecture profession, develop and grow leadership skills, and help advance AIA’s mission. With robust leadership bodies at the local, state, and national level, AIA encourages participation from members who bring varied perspectives—across career stages, firm sizes, geographic regions, cultural backgrounds, and practice areas. We believe that diverse voices help ensure that our programs, policies, and initiatives reflect the evolving needs of the profession and the communities we serve.

Want to learn more before applying?  Register  for the May 27 Volunteer Interest Call. Open to all who are interested in serving, this session will provide an overview of AIA National’s governance structure and the Call for Volunteers timeline (including Strategic Council leadership, award jury service, and more than 70 national committees). You’ll also learn what is required for the application process, gain tips for navigating the range of opportunities, and learn about what to expect when serving as a national volunteer. There will be plenty of time for questions at the end.
