This year, AIA launched the “Blueprint for Better” campaign, highlighting the role of architects as leaders in improving America’s cities, towns, and neighborhoods. A major part of Blueprint for Better focuses on encouraging architects to work with local, state, and federal officials to solve public policy issues that directly affect the work they do every day.

As part of this initiative, AIA has recently launched the Architect Action Center so architects can easily contact their Members of Congress to educate them on critical issues, including sustainability, housing, resilience, school safety, and student loan debt.

As Election Day approaches on November 6, take this opportunity to  to weigh in on the issues that will be considered by Congress in January, regardless of who controls the House or Senate.

Together, we can continue to lay the groundwork for ensuring that our profession and our country achieve a blueprint for better. Act now!
