AIANY Program Committees are the foundations from which the chapter positions itself in the field of architecture, whether through discussion, advocacy, policy making and development, or other endeavors. Committees initiate the majority of the chapter’s programs and are the main avenue for direct involvement with AIA New York. Preferred co-chair candidates will have shown strong involvement with the committee, a commitment to the committee’s goals, a clear vision for the future of the committee, and good communication and management skills.
The goal of the AIANY Design for Health Committee is to be an organizational voice for architects specializing in the field of healthcare, for prospective individuals looking to acquire knowledge, for allied professionals involved with the construction of health facilities, and for healthcare providers. Individuals will find opportunities in the emerging areas of health promotion, design and health, public health, sustainable design, and international projects. Applications must include a 250-word maximum letter of interest and CV sent to skaba@aiany.org with the subject line, “AIANY Design for Health Committee Co-Chair Application.”
