Nexus/EWR is an intermodal headhouse commissioned by Regional Plan Association to serve as singular point of entry to EWR. Straddling the Northeast Corridor, Newark Nexus integrates access to all gates via Amtrak, New Jersey Transit, PATH, bus, private vehicle, rental car, taxi, and rideshare under one expansive roof. This innovative approach absorbs multi-modal and terminal operations within the auspices of a single, flexible new vessel—and it is prepared to receive future modes and future operations.
