Call for Oculus Magazine Op-Eds: Housing as a Verb

Taking a cue from architect and theorist John F.C. Turner, the Fall 2022 issue of Oculus will focus on “Housing as a Verb.” Turner championed a smaller-scale and user-driven approach to housing with the goal of giving residents the maximum level of agency in shaping where and how they live. We’ll use this lens to consider the latest conversations around housing in New York City, interviewing newly appointed leaders and investigating how housing might address issues like aging and disability. We welcome op-eds from AIANY members related to the idea of “housing as a verb.” Please submit op-eds of 800 words to editor@aiany.org by midnight on August 26.
