This fall, New York Now returns to the Center for Architecture, showcasing recent work by members of the AIA New York Chapter. The show will be inclusive and allow the widest possible participation, offering a comprehensive view of the scope and quality of work being done by Chapter members in New York City today.
The exhibition will include works of all scales: small, large, commercial, residential, public, private, interiors, historic preservation, engineering, landscape and urban design. The non-juried exhibition, “New York Now” will offer a snapshot of where we are at this moment, and celebrate the diversity of the membership by representing the depth and breadth of its work and contributions to the field. “New York Now” will open on October 11, 2007. The exhibition will be organized by the Center for Architecture according to the nature and quantity of submissions received.
Exhibition on view through December 2007
Eligible Projects
Eligible projects are those located within the five boroughs of New York City and currently are in design, in construction or recently completed; the work may be a project of any size, style, and artistic expression that upholds and promotes the ideals of the architectural profession and its allied fields, and represents the best current work put forward by members of the AIA New York Chapter. The show intends to create an open dialogue between the different practitioners in the field, and to encourage a deeper understanding of the interrelatedness between them.
