Southpoint is a remodelled landscape, one which they have re-moulded to integrate the building, hence making it invisible, transparent, tense, sinuous, sensuous: a new landscape.
A new way of surveying the territory – everything is a circulation surface. The entire site – the gardens, the roofs – is continuity.

The sinuous landscape glides from the restaurant at the peak of the island to the landing stage. It widens according to the required functions – exhibition hall, sculptures garden, or auditorium, etc. thus creates astonishment, the discovery of different spaces and itineraries.

One finds the continuous sensuousness of the space in every category of area, volumes, and time. A sensuousness provoked by waking the senses.

Haesevoets has worked for the museum of the contemporary art of the City of Rome, in Italy. During this period, he has done a lot research on all the new museums built in the last 50 years.
