The New York City Chapter of the AIA has been dedicated to serving the global community since its inception. Today, the Center for Architecture provides
new opportunities for increased outreach and dialogue
.

The International Committee is dedicated to this mission.

The Committee seeks to encourage discussions between New York City architects engaged in practice abroad and foreign architects practicing in America. Two distinct goals sustain this effort.

The Committee sponsors exhibitions, lectures and seminars on specific projects, events and policies effecting the international architect.

The Committee reports upon the challenges faced by New York City architects engaged in international practice, and of foreign architects working in
America.

The International Committee seeks to take advantage of the opportunities that the diversity of New York City provides, by offering a significant resource
to the entire architectural community. It provides a forum, in which practitioners can share and discuss critical experiences.
