Mission Statement

The Technology Committee of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) New York Chapter is a very active group that hosts monthly lectures on technology and its influence on design, process, architectural practice and related professions.

Join us! Joining means simply being on our mailing list and attending a meeting if it is of interest to you. To be added to our mailing list, simply send an email to the Committee Chair, Erleen Hatfield at ehatfield@thorntontomasetti.com

We're open to everyone in the design and technology professions. You do not have to be an AIA member, or a licensed architect for that matter. You don't even have to be in New York. We currently have over 1,000 people on our email list. Generally 80-100 people attend our monthly meetings.

We meet monthly typically on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm for 1.5 to 2 hours at the Center for Architecture in Tafel Hall, located on the lower level. The lectures are accredited for either 1.0 or 1.5 AIA professional development units. The dates for 2009 are:

March 9 - Monday
April 14 - Tuesday
May 11 - Monday
June 9 - Tuesday
July 20 - Monday
August 11 - Tuesday
September 14 – Monday
October 19 – Monday
November 2 – Monday
December 2 – Wednesday
