Architecture of Hospitality

The Architecture of Hospitality Committee is a new committee, established to further dialogue and understanding of the design and experiential parameters of the hospitality sector. As the hospitality world has grown to embrace cutting edge design, the level of architecture involved in this sector has also experienced new creativity. The built environment, both nationally and internationally, has benefited from a broader spectrum of architects and solutions to this very publicly accessible typology.

The goal of the committee is to inform and explore the current trends in the Hospitality Industry. The dialogue will involve industry leaders both from inside and outside the profession. Emphasis will be placed on the relationship between the interior / exterior environment, mixed-use and urban development potential as well as client related issues.

Being a new committee, the executive committee has developed a series of programs for the coming year. New members will be encouraged to join with a vision towards the next season of events. Upcoming events include: project reviews, roundtable discussions, and local site visits. Committee meetings are scheduled according to need. For more information or to express interest in joining the committee please email the chair or co-chair.
