As the most current monograph on the work of architect Daniel Libeskind, Counterpoint is a comprehensive portrait of an architect committed to changing the face of architecture as it exists today. Readers can experience the full vision of Daniel Libeskind, from the initial sketch of a building to the eventual construction of some of the most celebrated projects in the world. Counterpoint highlights more than thirty projects, past and present, with drawings, detailed site plans and renderings, construction photos, and striking color images of completed projects across the globe. Also included are designs
previously unreleased to the public.
Daniel Libeskind, born in Lódz, Poland, is an international
figure in architectural practice and urban
design. With more than forty projects worldwide,
Libeskind’s practice extends from museums and

Libeskind has taught and lectured at universities
internationally, received numerous awards, and
designed world-renowned projects, including the
master plan for the World Trade Center in New York
and the Jewish Museum in Berlin, among others.

Times, and in 1984, he was awarded the Pulitzer
